• the identification of known and unknown archaeological sites;
• archaeological and architectural surveys of upstanding or buried monuments and structures;
• the survey, assessment and interpretation of historic landscapes;
• the survey, assessment and interpretation of 19th century industrial complexes and 20th century military sites;
• providing advice on, and preparing plans for, the management and conservation of historic landscapes, buildings and archaeological monuments;
• providing advice and specifications for the conservation, repair, restoration and consolidation of historic buildings and archaeological sites;
• the organisation and management of large-scale archaeological projects;
• the production of archaeological specifications and 'Written Schemes of Investigation' for all types of archaeological investigation;
